Welcome to My Corner of the Web
Hello there! I'm Lisa, and I'm so glad you've stopped by. At 54, I find myself in this wonderful season of life where I have stories to share, wisdom I've gathered along the way, and an endless curiosity about making everyday life a little bit better.
Born and raised here in Ohio, I've spent most of my life in the Midwest, and I wouldn't have it any other way. There's something special about our values here – the genuine friendliness, the way we look out for each other, and the belief that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
My Mission
To create a warm, welcoming space where we can share practical tips, celebrate life's simple pleasures, and remind each other that we're all figuring this out together.
A Little About My Journey
After raising three amazing kids (who are now adults with families of their own!), I found myself with more time to pursue the things I'm passionate about. I've always been the friend people come to for advice – whether it's about organizing a closet, finding the perfect recipe for Sunday dinner, or navigating life's unexpected curveballs.
My husband Tom often jokes that I should write a book with all the tips and tricks I've collected over the years. Well, maybe a blog is the perfect place to start! I've learned so much from trial and error, from other wonderful women in my community, and from simply paying attention to what works and what doesn't.

Beyond the Blog
When I'm not writing, you'll likely find me tending to my vegetable garden (my tomatoes are my pride and joy!), trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or volunteering at our local food bank. I love spending time with my grandchildren, reading historical fiction, and taking long walks around our neighborhood.
I'm also passionate about supporting other women, especially those navigating major life transitions. There's so much wisdom we can share with each other, and I believe our stories have the power to inspire and comfort others walking similar paths.
